Code of Conduct
Books in Cyber is a place to talk about books - what they teach, what they miss, and the people who write them. Be kind.
Disagree about ideas, not people
Strong opinions are welcome, especially about the books and the ideas in them. Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, or any form of discrimination are not. This applies in the livestream chat, in Q&A, in DMs, and on social media around the event.
Speakers are guests
Speakers are here for their work. Don't take that as an opening to make anyone feel unsafe. Critique their argument, not their person.
Privacy in the chat
Don't share other attendees' contact details, employer information, or screenshots of private exchanges without their permission.
Enforcement
Moderators may remove messages, mute, or remove anyone violating this code. Repeated or serious violations end the registration - including the recording link - without refund (it's a free event, but the recording access still goes away).
Reporting
If something is off, email info@booksincyber.com. Reports are read by the organizers (Evgeniy and Rick) only.
